- 1 1/4 cups low sodium soy sauce
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar (hard-packed)
- 21 oz. beef (consommé)
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. sesame oil (regular)
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic (finely)
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes (dried)
- 1 tsp. Sriracha sauce
- 1 tsp. hoisin sauce (I always use Kikkoman's)
- 2 heads broccoli (fresh, stem removed/cut into florets)
- sliced mushrooms (1, 16 oz. cont. fresh)
- 1/3 cup shredded carrots (finely)
- 1/2 cup cornstarch (dissolved into ½ cup COLD water)
- cooked rice
- sesame seeds (toasted or un-toasted)
- green onions (snipped, or chives)
- pea pods
- corns (baby)
- water chestnuts
- onion (sliced, wedges)
- red bell pepper (sweet, strips)
- dried red chili peppers
