yeah, it’s the best barbecue sauce I made in a long time brings me back to when my mom used to make baby pizzas and catch up really works long as you don’t get the catch-up that has corn syrup in it because I can’t handle open pit or all the other commercial barbecue garbage that’s out there five stars

this is not homemade with store bought ketchup. go back to chef school.

Excellent despite a ton of substitution & much less sweetener. paired with my slow cooked dry as heck pork tenderloins for a savory protein ! I will experiment more with reducing the sweetener next time, as well as tomato sauce (less expensive).
Substitutes included: balsamic vinegar, yellow mustard, smoked paprika for smoke, no garlic or minced garlic, spicy no sugar added ketchup. No brown sugar, used <1/3 cup split of honey and maple syrup.

Excellent. Added a teaspoon of smoked paprika and chili powder and my guest were trying to bottle it and take it with them!

Tasty and easy. Substituted Dijon for dry mustard.

This is the best sauce ive ever had becaused i made it my own. Added ground mustard just a bit. Added liquid smoke just a dash. Added Mrs. Renfroses ghost pepper barbacue sauce for heat. Taste this before you add it because its hot but great flavor.. Then a splash of coke. Unreal!!

This was a great recipe. I did tweak it a little bit by adding smoked paprika, and maple syrup (I ran out of honey), and extra apple cider vinegar. I didn't measure the spices I just added till it smelled and tasted right . It was a wonderful recipe to use as a base.

like the taste, the molasses is really strong . sigh. but wish i knew how to cut out the strong taste of the molasses .

I really enjoyed the recipe. The only thing is I modified a few things such As add 2 tablespoons of acv instead of 4, carribean hot sauce and I added jack Daniels to the mix

awesome!!! all my guests loved it! however I did cut the total sugar amount in half and added a tad more onion/garlic/cumin powder.

pretty easy to make. We added it to a pulled pork dish we made and it tasted delicious. It was quite strong in taste but yummy none the less.
