Description

Indian-style chickpeas simmered in tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, and spices are comfort food at its best, so you're going to want enough for lunches as well as dinner — and this recipe makes plenty. It goes together quickly using canned chickpeas as the base. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Prerna Singh.

Too much water, and tomatoes for my taste. Came out very watery. The flavor was very good, but there was way too much water in the pot.

It was very tasty, but I would cut back on the salt, probably add none until the end, as the canned beans and tomatoes have plenty. This takes quite a while to make, but makes plenty to freeze some.

This is a gift for vegetarians. It has a nice depth of flavor. Don’t forget the brown rice.
