It was good and filling. A cheap enough meal for a budget also.

Very good. I used famous Dave’s corn bread mix, best corn bread I’ve ever had. I halved the meat and used pinto beans and left over diced tomatoes cuz I wasn’t sure the wife would eat it if I used the salsa. as it is, she picked out the corn. She said it was very good as well.

Awesome and would make again and modified by adding Thai chili

Awesome! I added white and black beans and diced jalapeños. I used half the flour and subbed the other half with almond flour for less gluten. Cut up some butter and scattered that on top before baking. Then I serve it with a spoonful of yogurt (or sour cream). It’s great! Will definitely make again.

WOW! What a hit!! Everyone absolutely loved it! This rustic Cowboy casserole was fairly easy, absolutely delicious, and looked like a beautiful mess on our plates! Totally looks like something someone would make in the back of a wagon or on the wild frontier. I have saved this dinner in my folder of recipes and I know it will be used many times in nights to come.

Yum! Who knew you could bake bread on top of your meat?! Wonderful recipe to feed a big family. The whole meal was delicious, I will definitely make it again.

Wonderfully amazing recipe. I made this last night and made it just the way it was. The only thing we did different was add sour cream to the side after cooked. I thought about adding sides but why, was the question. My man is a Pinto Beans guy so I made it with them, but honestly I wouldn’t have mind black beans. The cornbread was delicious and perfect! Thanks for having a wonderfully great recipe I will come back to often!

The combination of con, beans, and the salsa really made the meat flavorful! Delicious & filling. :)

Good family liked it. I used chili beans instead of pinto beans also used can of whole kernel corn instead of frozen and 2 cups of cheese. Still think need to use something else to make it a little moister maybe some kind of soup.
