I have made this crème brûlée more often than I care to remember. Like most, I suppose, I was terribly intimidated the first time, but I made it and ate the result because I hate throwing food away just because it didn't look like the picture. Fortunately, it wasn't horrid--the sugar did that, I guess--and I was encouraged to try. My waistline now says I shouldn't eat as much as I do, but you know what? It is the best desert EVER, so I do!

Easy to follow instructions. I added only 2/3 of the recommended sugar & it was perfect for my taste buds. My ramekins are deep so they needed the extra time to cook. Turned out wonderfully. Thanks for the recipe!

My family loved it, even my picky teenage boys. Since i don't have a kitchen torch, I also used the broiler for about 4 minutes. AWESOME recipe. I'm gonna try it with mango puree next

very delicious and surprisingly easy to make! will definitely be making this again. i dont have a blowtorch so used the broilwr instead and still turned out great

Made this for Thanksgiving dessert at my inlaws. I did not have a torch, which I realized right before I was supposed to serve it. I wound up using the broiler which was unfortunately my only option, and it turned out pretty well! If I'd had a torch it would have been perfect!

Didn't work for me at all. Having said that I have never attempted creme brûlée before so it is more likely my error than the recipe. Tastes good

The recipe was excellent! It was my first time baking one of my favorite desserts and i made 10 servings for an office party. They all enjoyed it.

First time making creme brulee and it came out great thanks to the recipe!! Easy to follow especially the tip on when to take it out of the oven. I did use the boiler instead of a kitchen blow torch for the finishing touch (learned that trick from Barefoot Contessa).

Awesome recipe. Very easy to make and it's great. She does a good job in explaining the trick in knowing when to pull the dessert out of the oven.

This recipe was the first my husband and I tried. The first that I ever made and tasted crème brulee, and it was delicious! Definitely a keeper.
