- 1 lb. ground turkey (thigh meat if you can get it)
- 1 chopped onion
- 2 red chiles (chopped fresh, optional)
- salt (to taste)
- 1 inch ginger (piece of peeled, grated fine)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced, about 2 teaspoons)
- 1 Tbsp. Garam Masala (or curry powder)
- 1 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. ground coriander
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 yukon gold potatoes (large, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks)
- 4 plum tomatoes (Roma or other, diced)
- 1 cup frozen peas (or fresh)
- 1/2 cup chopped cilantro (loosely packed, or parsley)

Added carrots, used can of tomatoes, no cilantro, but shake of cinnamon and added splash of lime juice. Good way to use ground turkey.

My two year old and I enjoyed this! I didn't have coriander seeds and dislike cilantro, and used rice instead of potatoes.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because my recipe was modified.

tasty! even my 11 year old son liked it! i ise tomato sauce instead of diced tomato sauce that's all i had at all.

I didn’t have tomatoes, but I used some extra water after the potatoes finished cooking and added corn. For the red chiles, I used red chile pickle that you get from the Indian store. my boyfriend LOVED it! It was the right amount of Garam Masala! we added extra garlic and used garlic ginger paste that you get from the Indian store. we ate it with parathas! so good!

Delicious. Added a little pepper for spice (black and cayenne) and cilantro while still cooking. Gives it a nice flavor. Would certainly make it again
