Made this tonight. I really like a sour sauerkraut. This recipe was good with my brats. I have a slight issue with onions, so I used onion powder instead. I think I will add just a bit of brown sugar next time.

I've never been a sauerkraut fan but this recipe changed all that! Let's face it, onions and bacon can make anything taste great! The kraut needs to be rinsed well before adding to the sautéed onions. Wow I am now a big fan! I served it with browned smoked sausage and green beans from the garden!
