Wonderful recipe! I had an abundance of hamburger brioche buns, so let them rest on the counter overnight uncovered. Used them for the bread and did a six minute soak on each side. Cooked at 325 in my electric skillet. Have been ruined for any other French toast. Will cut the sugar down just a tad…prefer less sweet.

This is transformative because it uses a custard to soak into the bread. My wife now wants this for special occasions, and it’s no harder to make than any other french toast recipe.

there were no directions and even with the few ingredients i messed. but with my mess ups this recipe was awesome 😅

i didnt use a sturdy enough bread... next time it will be better. overall, the taste was good!

If you want soggy toast this is for you! Awful! Even tried soaking it shorter time span. Still soggy. Just saying...
