This is the dish that causes everybody to stop and ask, “who made the potato salad?”, while making that “ oh my God, this is soooo good” face...seriously!
This is an excellent side dish for dinner parties or cook outs. It makes plenty! It’s a deep with flavor, and easy to make.
It’s great fresh off the stove and just as good served cold or even as leftovers. Be prepared to share the recipe, because lots of people will ask.

My family allows love this recipe for German potato salad. I add an extra Tbs of mustard to the recipe to give it a little extra kick

Loved the authentic recipe with chicken broth.

I didn't have enough potatoes (several had gone bad) and I failed to reduce the amount of vinegar enough, so it was too vinegary. I also used different bacon and mustard so the bacon flavor was weaker, but it was still a good blend of flavors.

delicious!! i used dried chives and yellow potatoes because that's what i had on hand and it worked fine.
