Great flavor. Execution was a little challenging though. I found it difficult to figure out how to fit the bacon/apple slices into the hasselback without breaking it. When I finally got it figured out, the squash was all curled up and didn't lay flat like in the photo. After 1.5 hours of cooking, it still wasn't soft throughout and the bacon was completely uncooked on the inside except for the tips that poked out above the squash. I would try it again though and see if I could improve my technique, because I really enjoyed the taste. It just didn't turn out quite right.
