2nd time: had Diane and Jerry over for an Indian evening - used Diane's lemons, and made my own spice blend. I also used Sriracha almonds instead of peanuts - YUM!
1st time: Really good! I used my neighbor's fresh lemons, didn't use the urad dal (but went out to buy it for the next time I make this dish) and used fresh, grated tumeric. Keith loved it!

Doubled the rice. Added 1.5 lemons and rind instead of 2. Very good. I'll add more peanuts next time

I found the directions not great. Way too much lemon.

Really really good. I didn’t have peanuts so I used raw cashews and my family loved it. We definitely will add this rice to our favorites.

Do ahead and keep warm for about an hour to give time for flavors to blend. Use Meyer lemons if you can find them.

Wow! That was super spicy!!! I think I put too much ginger in so next time I’ll reduce and probably just half a green chili. I’m sweating bullets and I like spicy.

excellent acidity with half lemon juice for 100grams rice
Didn't add dal and turcmenic but i found it tasty and a bit spicy, very aromatic
