Turned out exactly as written. Would like to add flavour to the chicken next time before it goes into the batter. I did this without a deep fryer.

the first batch was terrible but then I added some cinnamon to the second and they turned out great. maybe the traditional recipe doesn't include cinnamon, but I found that adding about 1 teaspoon of it to the batter give it a great taste and improves the texture.
