- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 lb. shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tsp. ground chipotle pepper (more or less to taste cayenne is traditional if you like the spice!)
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (grated or your favorite cheese!)
- 1/2 cup green onions (chopped I've used chives in a pinch!)

- 1 cup water (or milk based on how course your grits are ground)

Wow - This is so good! My family loved it. I substituted chicken broth for about half of the liquid and added a teaspoon of Worcester sauce. We had enough for one serving leftover which was even better the next day.To reheat, I removed the shrimp and heated them in a small amount of butter in a skillet on super low heat. The grits got too thick over night so I added a little water and reheated them in the microwave. Fabulous!

It was delicious! I modified it slightly by adding chicken broth in place of some water/milk and I used sweet onions rather than green onions and used minced garlic rather than garlic cloves.

Perfect! Was absolutely delicious!! Not difficult to make and my family loved it! I'm making it again!
