Delicious and super simple to make. be sure to use a good quality pork to avoid the meat getting tough.

Nice complex flavor profile; too bad the texture was like pencil erasers due to boiling.

Yummy! Good to eat with rice. Will definitely make again.

Deceptively easy, the kids loved it. Since it is already sweet, I substituted rice vinegar for the sake. I cooked it a bit longer to infuse the flavors and soften up the pork, just be careful you don’t let it over boil, it won’t ruin the dish but it will leave a sticky mess on the stove. This should do well in the Instant Pot.

I didn’t use any alcohol but it tasted great. Drizzled honey in with the sesame seeds for some more sweetness.

I have made this recipe several times now and it's delicious; the whole family likes it! I follow the recipe exactly except at the very end; before adding the sesame seeds, I drizzle 1T of honey on the meat and stir. It adds just the right amount of "stickiness."
