- 1 jalapeno (stem removed)
- 2/3 cup yellow onion (chopped, rinsed under water to remove harsh bite)
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp. salt (or to taste)
- 1 tsp. sugar (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
- 3 Tbsp. water (then more as desired)

I used this as a baseline and then flavored to taste … more lime, more cilantro, more salt. Tasty and plentiful. Would have been so good with those tostitos lime chips! I am sold on salsa verde.

Turned out very good, little too lime tasting for my taste. Next time just a little less lime since the tomatillo’s have an acidic taste to them as well. Over all very easy to make, good recipe.

OMY— oh my yum! The was sooooo good. One jalapeño was not enough next time I’ll use two. My husband is not a green salsa fan — he prefers red — but really liked this. I can’t believe that I previously purchased the stuff in the jar — NEVER again this is too good and too easy.
