Good but I had to add extra seasoning. I couldn’t find achiote powder so I used paprika. Added garlic powder and chili powder for more flavoring. Cooking to rice in seafood stock resulted in very bland rice. Next time I would cook it with better than chicken bulillon base.

I didn’t cook the rice in the broth but it still turned out delicious ! (I added chili flakes)

After having this dish in a restaurant in the Canaries, I knew I had to re-create it at home. Found this recipe and it was fabulous! Used blue mussels, scampi and a larger prawn, from the freezer section of my grocery store! Just thawed them a couple hours prior for an amazing dinner! I couldn’t get ahold of the achiote powder so I used about 1/2 tsp of turmeric for color and about 1/2 tsp of smoked sweet paprika! Used som white wine to prepare mussels so that also added flavor!
