Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

Drain the garbanzo beans into a fine-mesh sieve and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Turn the garbanzo beans onto a clean dishcloth, and pat dry with paper towels.

Transfer the garbanzo beans to a large mixing bowl. Drizzle with the olive oil and sprinkle with the salt and pepper, and garlic powder and paprika, if using. Toss with a rubber spatula until the garbanzo beans are evenly coated in the oil and seasonings.

Arrange the garbanzo beans in an even layer on the baking sheet.

Roast the garbanzo beans on middle rack of oven, shaking the pan twice during the cook time, until they are golden brown and crisp, 35-40 minutes.

Check to see that garbanzo beans are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
