This was really good. I made this without the pork and on the stove it was really quick and easy. I also didn’t have the brown sugar so I omitted it but I don’t think it made a difference. I also doubled the sauce as per another review and it was just enough for vegetables and spaghetti(perfect).
Notes for myself for next time definitely try with pork, beef or chicken. Also use less ginger and chili paste to adjust for kids taste.

This is my 2nd time making this. First time I made it exactly the way the recipe is given even tho I don't care for pork (doubled the sauce). It was ok. It probably would've been great if I liked pork. This time I used beef roast & I think it was much better. I only used 1lb since I recently decided to cut down on my meat intake & increase my veggie intake. Still doubled the sauce. Couldn't find snow peas so I used green beans. Also added baby corn & baby bella mushrooms. I skipped the celery & water chestnuts cause I don't like them. I also added a tsp corn starch with some sauce at the end. I'm now totally in love with this meal & will definitely make it again.

This is a keeper! I used a beef roast instead of pork and it was delicious!

A little salty for my taste, but tasty overall!

Turned out great I would swap out the pasta for hokkien noodles instead, and not so much noodles

Im vegan so I swapped out the meat to plant mince. Was sooo yummy!

It was good. I added more sauce and slow cooked the whole thing (except meat) for 4hr. Veggies were a little raw but soft enough.

very good! the sauce makes it addictive!

Simple and tasty. I would make this again.

I had to use a beef eye round which took longer but still turned out great. Double the liquid as you would with all slow cooker recipes.

Great, easy and tasty!

Really good just how it is. Everyone in my eight person family loved it. My crockpot doesn't get high enough to finish the veggies in 30 minutes, so a couple minutes on the stove solved that.

So tasty! Thank you for this great recipe.

Doubled amount of chili paste and carrots, skipped celery. Used thin capellini pasta. Delicious!!

It was delicious. Will add more veggies next time but the whole family enjoyed it.

We loved it! Very easy to make I was skeptical about adding the veggies to the crockpot since we like them a little undercooked but it all turned out great careful with the sambal oeleck it gets really spicy if you add too much this was even better as leftovers

Awesome! Easy to prep, and it turned out great

Definitely not for cooking for 8hrs. At 5 hrs it was burning up, and the sauce was dried out. I ended up mixing more sauce and sautéing the veggies with it, then adding the salvageable meat, and then mixing everything with the spaghetti. Added some hoisin sauce to make it a little sweeter. Gave two stars because in theory it should turn out delicious, minus 5 of the slow cooker time.

terrible.. i mean the meat tasted okay but everythung else is so dry, i even used x2 ingredients of sauce recommend on the recipie. maybe i did something wrong along the way..

Very tasty and filling. You can easily experiment with the vegetables to make new combinations if you get bored of the same ingredients.

It was awesome, used tenderloin instead.

It was great! Could do without the snow peas.
Husband says it needs more sow sauce. Will definitely make again.

Agreed that the double-the-sauce approach was the way to go. I added mushrooms and skipped the pasta. Makes a lot of food. Be sure to do low sodium on the soy sauce! Veggies needed more time, so I steamed them separately and added them back. May add cornstarch next time to thicken the sauce, as I kept the mushroom water from the cans.

I used regular soy sauce and would recommend sticking to reduced sodium as stated in recipe. Was a bit too salty, but otherwise delicious and family really liked it

Tastes great!! Used pork chops instead. Followed suggestions from previous commenters to double sauce and increase veggie cook time.

Doubled the sauce as warned and used a butt roast. Mine didn't fall apart but it was still quite juicy. Great flavor
