These are very cute and a great idea for a seasonal healthy snack, but making them is trickier and more time-consuming than it looks. I spent about an hour scraping the white membranes off with my fingernails, plus I broke apart as many clementines as I ended up being able to use.
I have no idea how the author got their tangerines looking so perfectly orange with a hollowed-out center, but if you're a peeling master, go for it! If not, still go for it but allot some extra time and expect your 'pumpkins' to have some white left on them. They're still super cute though!
