I made this today and it’s actually good enough that I’d make it again. I sautéed the onion and garlic, and added a bay leaf and some Penzey’s Sunny Paris seasoning. Next time I won’t use the crock pot. It took way too long to cook.

Horrible! im not a bad cook and I love pretty much any soup. i hate to say it but this is horrible i followed it to the T. I'm sure with a few tweaks it might not be bad but I'm going to stick to the old fashioned recipes

I made this soup last week and unfortunately no one liked it. It had too much of a garlic flavor and a sour taste to it. And although we all like garlic, it just didn’t work well with this recipe. I added cheddar cheese which seemed to help the flavor a bit though, but I most likely will not make this again.

Very good! I was in a hurry so I made this on the stovetop. I added bacon and cheddar cheese.

Tasty but I had to add some flavoring. Maybe I like salt too much. This was really easy to make and would be a great meal in the winter

We added rosemary, thyme, cheddar, and bacon. It was very tasty and easy to make!

Delicious. Make sure to add the cream cheese at room temperature. Otherwise it takes a longer time to melt. I was doubtful of the cream cheese thickening the soup but it did it beautiful. We added celery, and carrot slices to the soup while in the crock pot. After we served it we added sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, and a little salt and pepper. Will definitely make this again!

Thought it was outstanding. Of course folks will have to balance spice levels for their tastebuds, but that’s nearly with all foods. Very creamy. Just perfect as it’s 30 outside and dropping fast.

Came out delicious. I added extra potatoes and onions. I took out about a cup and a half and put in blended to purée then poured back into the pot. I like a mix if purée with a little chunky. I also used Knorr chicken broth which made the flavor delicious with a hint of paprika, cumin and cajun seasoning. It’s AWESOME.

Our soup turned out delicious! We added dried parsley, Italian seasoning, two bay leaves, salt, pepper and an extra cup of broth up front and cooked this overnight. After removing the bay leaves and adding cream cheese and blending, we added about 2 cups of cubed ham and warmed until heated through. Great with these additions!

We tried this recipe and was not impressed. Didn’t have a lot of flavor and not creamy like we like our potato soup. Wasn’t bad but next time will add more seasoning for sure. Easy to make though.

Very easy to make except for the puree part. I have to give this soup 3 stars because it does not have much flavor if only the listed ingredients are used. However, I added a few things (double the garlic, add black pepper, rosemary and a little Greek seasoning) and it was delicious. The consistency is very thick which I like in a potatoe soup and the skin gives it some texture. Add the extra ingredients, melt some cheese into it and this is a great soup.

Easy to make but there was no flavor at all. Blandest dish I’ve ever made and I usually lean to the bland side.

Made it for me and my family. We all enjoyed it. It needed a little bit of salt and pepper and stuff but other than that it was super simple and fun to make!

Very bland. Very, very, very bland.

Needs some seasoning and stuff but otherwise good.

We followed the directions and ended up with a bland soup and strange texture, not creamy (we don't have an immersion blender). Too easy to be true, spent another hour doctoring it to be edible.

Great soup after I added some salt, pepper, thyme and rosemary.

It was delicious, I had company the day I made it and they loved it( I was asked for the recipe :D).
I didn't have a crock pot so I used my pressure cooker and left the potatoes, garlic, onion, and chicken stock in for about an hour until the potatoes were thoroughly cooked. Then I puréed it with a hand mixer(you can also use a blender just be careful transferring the hot liquid) and it worked. Also cheese and bacon bits are a must, they go with the soup beautifully.

It was great! I made bread to go with it!
