Didn't do the lattice top and added dabs of butter on top apple mixture. It taste as good as it looks. The stone worked great to cook the bottom crust!

The crust is 5 star. Fridge, freezer and sugar on top combo makes a big difference in how it came out.
It could have cooked longer. Had a few tbsp of juice in the bottom and apples were still a bit too firm for me. Might try a bit more starch next time.
Really tasty classic apple pie. Scoop of ice cream with it out of this world dessert.

I’ve been baking for 40 years and have made dozens of variations of apple pies—my wife says this is the BEST apple pie I’ve ever made. I think next time I’ll try a few small chunks of butter on top before putting the top crust on the pie. It’s a small thing but it would make grandmother smile.
I will eat a good apple pie for every meal including my nighttime snack—this is a Great Apple Pie! Thanks Zoe.

I used to think I’d never be able to make a pie because I’ve had so many failed attempts in the past, but I finally did it! I made it for thanksgiving and everyone loved it! Excellent tutorial, thank you for sharing.
Btw, I used vegan butter and veggie shortening instead. It worked just as well. (:
