Description
For when you can't decide between fettuccine alfredo or mac and cheese, this baked pasta is the best of both! The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.

- nonstick cooking spray
- 1 lb. ziti
- salt (for pasta water)
- 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 6 Tbsp. all purpose flour
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (or more whole milk)
- 3 oz. cream cheese (cut into 1/2-inch cubes)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for sauce)
- 3/4 tsp. salt (for sauce)
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for top of dish)

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Spray a 9x13-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add a generous pinch of salt. Once boiling, add the ziti to the water. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente, 9-10 minutes. Drain the pasta in a large colander, and rinse thoroughly with cold water. While the pasta cooks, prepare the sauce.

This is absolutely delicious. I added some chicken and andouille sausage for some added protein as well as red chili flakes (for more flavor) and parsley for a garnish. Highly recommend this one!

I tweaked it a bit by adding chicken spinach and mushrooms along with nutmeg and garlic it was delicious! Will make this again

I love anything pasta and cheese and this dish fits the bill! Because I never follow directions to the T, I embellished the dish a bit due to not having all the ingredients and substituting for what I had; cassava flour for regular flour, half heavy whipping cream and goat milk. I grated smoked mozzarella and used a mix of some with gruyere and goat milk romano cheese. I sprinkled some smoked paprika on top. AMAZING!

it was okay, not much for flavor. next time we make it for sure going to add some bacon. i think that woukd make it a whole lot better!

it turned out pretty good . i didnt put any milk in it but i dont think the pasta missed it anyways. very simple and easy dish to make.

Used penne noodles since I couldn’t find ziti and I also added shrimp with blackened seasoning. Turned out fabulous!

Amazing recipe. i added some shrimp and just a little more flour to add some extra thickness to the sauce. garlic salt for some extra flavor as well. everyone at home is raving over it.

This turned out amazing it was so good we forgot to review. I’ve never made this from scratch but I don enjoy it at the restaurant. We added sautés chicken my kids loved it and so did my hubs thanks
