Families favourite way to eat chicken

This is the best buttermilk fried chicken recipe ever! My kids and I loved it! I adjusted the seasoning to our tastes by adding some Frank's Red Hot Seasoning Blend to give it a "Buffalo Chicken" flavor. The secret is double dipping and the self rising flour. A definite keeper! Thanks for the recipe!

Be careful how long you leave the chicken in the fryer! Overall pretty good, easy recipe.

This recipe is spot on. Easy to follow and makes the chicken taste great and moist. If you enjoy fried chicken you will enjoy this recipe. Sometimes when I want a little extra flavor I add some seasoning into the flour.

It turned out super crunchy, full of flavor and the chicken was moist!

It turned out tasty but most of my breading fell off from double coating. I'm still learning.

My family loved it. I’d like it a bit spicer but that’s my personal preference! I’ll definitely make this one again.

Tasted great. Had difficulty keeping the breading on the chicken.

This was so good! I used chicken breasts which proved to be a mistake.. the outside cooked but the inside didn’t. Next time I’ll be using tenders. But this recipe was so good and easy to make!

First time making fried chicken, ever, and I was really surprised at how good this was. I added chili powder and cayenne pepper (didn't measure), and mixed Texas Pete sauce in with the buttermilk to mimic hot chicken. It was so crispy! I definitely plan on making this again.

Great! Double battered was a bit too much batter for me, so last half was single battered. Love it!!

It was good but the coating didn't stick well to the chicken. It could've been because I was using b/s chicken thighs.

I made this recipe and it was perfect fried chicken. I did'nt have self rising flour so I just added some baking powder to the flour mixture. This is a fav. Thank you.

I made a combination by having crushed cornflakes in a separate bowl - after dipping the chicken in the flour, milk etc.; I once again put the chicken in buttermilk and rolled in the cornflakes before cooking. Crispy chicken is always very tasty. .
