- scallops (Ingredients for)
- 16 scallops (large, 3-4 per person)
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- salt
- pepper
- 8 slices thick-cut bacon (diced, I try to find bacon with less fat, or cut away excess fat)
- 1 shallot (finely sliced)
- 1 clove garlic (leave whole)
- 4 green onions
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1 cup Parmigiano Reggiano (grated)
- ground pepper (fresh)
- 400 grams pasta (your choice -I used Linguine, but most recipes use Spaghetti)

Wonderful result. Great taste and presentation. A real crowd pleaser. Prep time is 3 times what the site states, but the work is worth the result. I’ll make this again whenever I can get absolutely fresh scallops.

Made it with fettuccine (as that was the only pasta I had at home) and prawns (sautéed with butter, yums). Added more pasta than recipe called for so the sauce was insufficient to coat the pasta thoroughly, otherwise it would have been great, I’m sure. Will def try again, but with thinner pasta next time.

Absolutely wonderful, I did add about 1/2 cup more heavy cream to the recipe for the carbonara as I like it a little more creamy than it turned out, but this was delish!

Halved the recipe - Made with half and half and pancetta- great flavors. Had 3 lovely large scallops and cut back in the pasta portion to make it more healthy if that’s possible. Was excellent!

Yummy I put in English peas
I have to cook gluten free AND mammal free! So turkey ham was just right as a replacement

I was unable to find scallops so I got shrimp. Wife said it was one of the best things I've ever made.
