- 1/4 tsp. black pepper (freshly ground)
- 2 bay leaves (optional)
- 1 cup dry white wine (such as Chardonnay)
- 5 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 2 cups medium grain rice (such as Jasmine rice, un-rinsed**)
- 1 head garlic
- 1/3 cup Italian parsley (fresh, finely chopped)
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)

I was impressed that the parmesan and the rice starch does make it creamy versus an actual cream base. I added Bacon, green beans, corn, and Rotel, hoping to get a deconstructed pot pie appeal. Definitely a simple one pot meal and we loved it.

Easy to make and delicious. I used regular chicken broth, and it turned out great. if you have health issues that require lower sodium options, use options that meet your dietary needs. this made plenty so I could freeze some leftovers to have on a busy night when too tired to cook. I also added cooked frozen peas (steam in the bag type) to the dish prior to adding the rice and broths - turned out well. Recommend this!

It was very tasty as is. It was a little too salty for out likes so next time I will add s/p at the end. I would also cut the wine some.

my husband and I both loved it.its a keeper on the list. i used skinless chicken breast instead, turned out great.

Turned out great! My kids even ate the leftovers! This one is a keeper!
