So good! I used an imperial stout with coffee beer & my homemade blueberry-chipotle BBQ sauce. I used fresh garlic & added onion, a pablano pepper & fresh mushrooms. To thicken the sauce, I made a cornstarch slurry which I added the last half hour of cooking time. As per review suggestions, I left the lid off for the last half hour as well. The sauce thickened nicely. Will definitely make this again!

Very good! Cooked on high 4hrs lid off for 20 min. Used Hawaiian bread and it’s amazing. Highly recommend.

This was very good. Just need to figure out how to thicken the sauce a little more.

Very good, will be making again. My daughter that hardly eats any meat besides hotdogs wanted seconds!

Delicious! I added a small chopped onion, some red pepper flakes and some garlic before turning it on high for 4 hours and then taking the lid off for ~30 minutes. Lots of great tips in the reviews! I used sweet baby rays and lagunitas ipa, mine was quite liquidy but I only had one pound of chicken so I had cut the recipe to a third, I didn’t mind the juice and I think it would be less so with a larger recipe.

Solid recipe. I used Sweet Baby Ray's and a can of Sierra Nevada's Hazy Little Thing IPA. I see some reviews saying that it came out watery, that was NOT my experience. Before pulling the chicken I was concerned it might be, but pulling it adds so much surface area that it's the perfect level of sauce. Cooked on high for 4 hours, took the lid off for the last 20 minutes and had it on warm for a while.

1. Read the reviews. Although someone had used Yuengling and Sweet Baby Rays, which I had in stock and said it wasnt good. I decided to play up the spices on the breasts. I fit 5 large breast across the botton. poured 3/4 a bottle of beer and about 15 oz of sauce. cooked on low for 8 hrs. crock pot was on warm for 1 1/2 hrs. (had to work late). then shreaded breasts. removed 1/2 the liquid. put in shreaded chicken and topped with about 10 oz more of Sweet baby Rays. stirred it all and put on low for 10 minutes.
It was awesome! fresh Kaiser rolls were perfect. I may add onions next time on bottom of pot in beginning.

I added red chili flakes to mine, fresh garlic, and used a little Stella Artois. Cooked on high for 4 hours then took the lid off and let some of the liquid reduce down (about 5-10) minutes, just keep an eye on it. Then I shredded it and the chicken soaked up all of the juices. Turned out perfect! Added sliced onion second time.

My husband and I enjoyed this! I think I used 12 oz of beer instead of 8 oz but it wasn’t too runny and wasn’t too thick. We put them in warps with lettuce and cheese.

It was tasty but a little watery for my taste.

I made it last night and I added chopped onions why it was cooking. It was absolutely delicious.

This smelled amazing while it was cooking but the sauce came out rather watery and seemed to lack flavor (used sweet baby rays and yuengling). I would try making slow cooked bbq chicken again but wouldn’t use this recipe.
Gave the recipe 2 stars because it was at least edible.
