I love this recipe! It’s delicious, enjoyed by both adults and open minded children, flexible for varied seasonings and can quickly be made on the stove. I soaked my split peas overnight and toasted them in the morning. Same thing would work to start soaking in the morning and toast them at dinner time for a nice crunchy salad topping. They are best when freshly made.

I used green split peas, and I also I used garlic powder and paprika and salt to season. I think green peas cook different than yellow because I had them on the stove for more than ten minutes but regardless they came out amazing. Currently snacking on them right now. 3 year old loves them too, great way to incorporate some vegetables as a snack
