Description
Basil-infused simple syrup adds a summery note to any mixed drink. Try it in our Cucumber Basil Summer Sipper, then channel your inner mixologist to come up with your own creations (vodka gimlet, anyone?).
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 sprigs basil
- 4 Tbsp. lime juice
- 1/2 cup cucumber (diced)

Directions
- In a small saucepan combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Give the pan a quick stir to make sure the sugar has dissolved and remove from heat.
- Add in sprigs of basil, lime juice, and cucumber. Let steep for 15 to 20 minutes, then pour through a strainer to remove all solids. Simple syrup may be stored for 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator.
