Yes yes yes. My main critique of French onion soup is its lack of a protein and this recipe solved it! I served this in a mini dish with toasted cheese bread on top like a traditional French onion soup and it was amazing! I used a mix of gruyere and Swiss cheese per my preference.

💗 this recipe. I used herbes de Provence infused olive oil, beef consommé instead of broth and a mixture of light Swiss and mozzarella cheese instead of gruyere. One of my new favs!

I followed this recipe exactly as written and it was delicious. The chicken breasts were so moist and tender. My husband is a huge fan of French onion soup and he said he definitely wants me to make this again!

Very good!!! So moist and flavourful. Did not have herbs de provence so just used thyme. Also used a half tsp of beef boullon to amp up the flavour. Cooked with lid on. Will try with no lid to see if it reduces more next time or maybe a little more cornstarch.

Flavor was exactly what you’d expect from French onion soup. Delicious served with haricots verts and quinoa, squash, brown rice medley.

Wonderful, just needed a bit more liquid.

Very good
Added some mushrooms and used Swiss cheese instead of Gruyere
