This cake is delicious! Batter is absolutely very thick. I did not add coconut, used walnuts instead of pecans and used a rectangular pan . I will definitely make again but decrease the amount of sugar.

Very good. Folding in the final ingredients is a good workout too. Would make again.

Thick batter is a gross understatement! It turns out perfectly. I will be making this recipe again. I left out the coconut and it’s still delicious. Moist and flavorful.

It was good. I was worried I missed something when the “batter” was so thick and heavy but I baked it in my cast iron pan and it came out nice!

Amazing and requested to make it for Thanksgiving

I made this and used an organic flour and coconut oil. It was my first time baking with coconut oil and I think it really altered the cooking time. It never really looked like it was cooked. I always add more apples and I think that helped but overall very good!

I baked this in a 9x13 pan with Gala apples. It was wonderful and even better on the third day hen we ate the last bite. Highly recommend.

I have made this many times. Also good with walnuts. A family favorite.

This is the 2nd time I’ve made this cake & it’s delicious! Few pts though: I used only 1 1/2 cups sugar (1/2 cup was brown sugar) & I think I might reduce the sugar even more next time. The apples add some of their own sugar already. Baked this at 350 degrees for about 1 hr & not 325. Used walnuts instead of pecans. Delicious cake.

This cake had so much potential, but ended up thick and overly heavy. I will say that I didn't use the Gold Medal Flour, instead using Organic whole wheat flour, and I believe that was the culprit. It was like cement before I placed it into the baking dish. Also, it was super sweet and 2 cups of sugar seems like too much? The flavors were really nice though and very Fall like.

so i loved this and so did my family but in the bites that didn't have apple or pecan seemed to be missing a touch of something
