- 1 cup granulated sugar (7 ounces/200 grams)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick/4 ounces/115 grams)
- 3 large egg yolks (lightly beaten, 3½ tablespoons/2 ounces/60 grams)
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/3 cups grated coconut (3.5 ounces/100 grams)
- 1 cup pecans (lightly toasted and finely chopped, 4 ounces/115 grams)

Good German chocolate cupcakes!
I Weighed everything.. but still runny frosting!!
I strained frosting in a sieve and it looked great but not sticky. I used the strained frosting on top of different recipe that I only made the base (no coconut or pecans) that created more Carmel aftertaste. The base was thick enough I spooned& spread like a teaspoon on top of each cupcake, It kinda melted into cupcakes & thickened some.
Topped the cupcakes off with a big teaspoon of the strained frosting spread on the topsi
