- 1 cup pecans
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 cup evaporated milk (can also use light or heavy cream)
- 180 grams egg yolks (lightly beaten)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (cut into pieces)
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut (or sweetened or unsweetened shredded)
- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
