Description
Let a good ol' grilled cheese sandwich be your canvas for gourmet expression. In this case the secret ingredient is caramelized onions, which is nothing more than sliced onions cooked low and slow in butter or olive oil until they're deep golden brown and sweet. - 1 oz. white cheddar
- 1 oz. muenster
- 1 oz. gruyere
- 1 Tbsp. fresh basil
- 1 tsp. fresh thyme
- 1 tomato
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 6 Tbsp. caramelized onions

Directions
- Cut sourdough into 6 thick slices. Grate or slice cheeses.
- Roughly chop basil and thyme. Cut tomato into slices. Set aside.
- Add butter to a hot pan; let melt. Reduce heat to low.
