I did a lot of things to this recipe, so I can't really comment on how good or bad it is overall. I will say, though, that I made a batch and 2/3 with probably 1/3 c syrup, and it's already a bit sweet for my taste.

It turned out pretty well actually for the banana loaf and then I turned it into making banana bread muffins for a change and is just as good! Unfortunately I did not have any unbleached all purpose flour and used bleached self-raising but still seems to be really good! I would much prefer using unbleached and will do next time as I make it a lot!
