Description
This meatloaf is so full of flavor, it is hands down the best low sodium meatloaf you’ve ever had. The binder in this recipe is sodium-free quick cook oats. This not only adds fiber to the loaf, but it significantly reduces your salt intake.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 lb. ground bison (or beef)
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 Tbsp. onion flakes (dried, or 1/2 cup of fresh chopped onion)
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup red pepper (diced)
- 1/4 cup green pepper (diced)
- 1/2 cup ketchup (low salt)
- 1 egg
- 1 Tbsp. stoneground mustard (Westbrae no-salt-added)
