I’ve made this several times and it always turns out well. Oatmeal makes a nice texture. I switch to 1 cup whole wheat flour/1 cup regular sometimes just for variety. Family asks for it unsolicited which is sign that they actually like it.

Excellent! I’d make it again but be aware it takes the full 70 minutes to bake through the center!

I substituted light brown sugar for dark brown sugar and had to use 1/2 a cup for that. The bread tastes really good but is crumbly, which I’m not a huge fan of.

I added walnuts and used 1/2 all purpose flour and 1/2 whole wheat. It took a little longer to bake but that was just my oven. Turned out excellent!

really yummy!!!! i added raisins and some cinnamon, ginger and cloves. i was out of butter and margarine so i used crisco. still really fluffy and yummly!
