I added sweet potatoes and celery the first time i made this and a splash of heavy cream and it was a hit with my family. I am now making it again the same way but i am going to use shredded chicken and add shredded collard greens as well.

So bomb added a little better mushrooms to it and Bam and a little bit of Cajun seasoning and some habanero hot sauce!

I made this with chicken breast because that’s what I had. Once I added the chicken stock all the flavors and seasonings disappeared I had to re-season. It tasted bland and my broth wasn’t dark like the picture it was pale.

I used chicken breasts unstead of thighs because that is what I had on hand. It turned out to be a paler broth than the color in the picture. Personally it was bland to me. My family said it tasted fresh, but we had quite a bit leftover. I probably will not make this again.

I made this the other day, and it came out great. But there are somethings I would change; first add a larger portion of meat, second add the meat after the first burn. To do this you will need to cook your chicken at the end. This way you have nice size chunks of chicken. I

Highly recommended! I admit the first time I made this recipe, I was a little scared it would turn out to be pretty bland but it was the total opposite. The spices work really well together to give this stew a flavorful and hearty taste. It's also easy to make.

This turned out so nicely. I added mushrooms and a parsnip but didn't change anything else. A huge hit that I will be making again.

Best chicken soup I've ever had! made it exactly as recipe stated and it was perfect. I did have some fresh thyme on hand so I added a bit after it was cooked and that was a nice touch.
