I added extra spices, I basically doubled all the spices. I added an extra half of an onion, and an extra garlic clove. I did not add extra ginger though. I would recommend using only 1 Jalepeno pepper if serving people who are not fond of spice. I feel like it turned out great and everyone at the table loved it.

This is a great recipe. An Indian trick is to pressure cook the split peas to lessen your time in the kitchen. Dal is always great with a squeeze of lemon/lime after it’s done. I also added garam masala simply because I love it!

Very bland. Followed the recipe exactly up till the last 5 minutes when I started adding more spices to try to create some flavor. A healthy dose of lemon juice helps.

My oldest daughter liked it a lot. My younger daughter and I liked it after adding butter. My teenage son didn’t like it.

I thought this was great. When reading the instructions I forgot to soak the peas, so this became a slow cooker recipe. I had to add 30 extra minutes on high, but otherwise followed the directions completely. Will make again

Delicious! Easy to make, even the husband loved it and he isn't usually a fan of Daal making again tomorrow to have on hand for lunches

Nice and easy to prepare, i did not try Spinach dish before but i think i will try soon because i like all Ingredients of this dish.

Excellent and easy! Used a habanero instead of jalapeños and it worked great. Looking forward to leftovers.
