This is the best penne alla vodka recipe I’ve ever come across! It’s now my go-to recipe

Turned out excellent but did tweek it a little. Cooked smoked bacon, then sweat down onions and garlic. Added a little fresh basil and oregano. Deglazed with vodka and reduced. Added hand crushed San Marzano tomatoes. Allowed to cook down for 45 min to allow all flavors to marry. Once done, lightly pureed the tomato sauce and then added whipping cream and parmesan reggiano cheese. Found there was no need for tomato paste and turned out thick and creamy!!!😋

OMG this was delicious, I added chicken and some red peppers to the mix and my hubby l9ved it so much he went back twice. I'll be making again for sure.

Really good. Used crushed tomatoes as I didn't have any diced on hand. Will make again.

Absolutely delicious! I like my pasta sauce a little smoother so next time I will decrease the diced tomatoes by half (14 oz instead of 28 oz) and add 1 can of pasta sauce to see if that makes it smoother without changing the taste.

This pasta turned out amazing! Nothing needs to be changed about this recipe. In mines I did use shrimp instead of the prosciutto since I'm a seafood lover. I added it during the last 5 minutes while the sauce was simmering out the strong vodka taste. Honestly, the sauce by it self is addictive. This pasta could be made as a side dish and still taste great on it's own. I was so satisfied and the directions were easy to follow.
