These turned out very well - fluffy and tasty. My butter did have lumps but was also room temperature, which probably helped with incorporation during baking. I was skeptical about the 3t vanilla, but it is legit. Side note: I split the batter and made half lemon, which also turned out well.

Do not follow the note about little bits of butter in the cupcake, it will utterly destroy these cupcakes. The first time I made these - they were AMAZING, but I essentially MELTED my butter before putting it in. Room temp will not allow it to be soft enough and small bits of butter will yield a dense, holy, sad cupcake.
