- 6 green olives (and a couple of splashes of the olive juice)
- 15 oz. beans (Gandules, undrained)
- 2 lb. white rice (bag of, NOT MINUTE RICE)

Oh dang! I remembered this rice from over a decade ago, and wanted to start making it for my Puerto Rican son. We both love it! It tastes just like I remember. I put all the ingredients in our Aroma rice cooker, and it comes out perfect. ... don’t think you can substitute the tomato sauce with tomato paste! Not the same. This rice is like decadent. The oil, tomato sauce, olive juice, and pea juice make it so flavorful and rich. I think this was the only thing I ate for 3 days straight.

Best rice ever. I add more olives plus add capers to give it some more goodness.
