Description
This colorful, refreshing marinated fish salad is always a hit as an appetizer, and it’s easy to make. All you do is combine cubed raw fish with a citrus marinade to “cook,” then blend in spicy chili, sweet tomato, and silky avocado. Don’t let the long marinade time fool you — the recipe requires only 15 minutes hands-on time. Serve with tortilla chips or soft butter lettuce leaves to enjoy every bite. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Rima Kleiner, MS, RDN.

Directions
- Cut fish into 1/2-inch cubes.
- In a low-sided glass or ceramic baking dish, or in a wide bowl, combine fish, onion, lime juice, and lemon juice, making sure fish is fully covered. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
- Stir mixture, making sure all fish is still covered with juice. Cover and refrigerate another 3 hours. As fish marinates, it will turn from pinkish-gray to translucent and then to white, almost opaque.
