This is a great recipe! The sauce is a nice creamy consistency! I live near a small community with a strong Swedish heritage (my husband is Swedish!) The locals include ground pork or even ground ham in their meatballs, but the ground beef works just fine.

I do not think that this is a good copy of IKEA’s meetballs, because in this recipe they are better!
For the sauce, I did sauté a large finely chopped onion in the butter before makeing a Roux (for my taste 2 garlic cloves would aslo be great) for richier taste. Also I put allspice and nutmeg gradually until it was enough, it was a bit less than in the recipe but it is a mater of taste. Overall- great recipe, thanks!
