- 1 can jackfruit (young green, drained and rinsed thoroughly, [400ml-can])
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil (or melted coconut oil)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. tandoori masala mix (store-bought or try our homemade blend, see notes)
- 1/2 tsp. hot chilli powder (Kashmiri Mirch, medium-, or any other chilli powder, optional, see notes)
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt (or to taste)
- 160 mL vegan yogurt (thick creamy, try our homemade soy yogurt, [⅔ cup], see notes)
- 1/2 lime
- 1 Tbsp. soft brown sugar (or coconut palm sugar)
- black pepper (to taste)
- lime (Additional, /lemon wedges, for garnish and serving, optional)
