Carmel came out perfect. It hardened up good on my spoon. I did warm my pie plate on the back burner where the heat comes from the oven before pouring in the Carmel so it wouldn’t crack. I actually put all the ingredients in a blender with an extra egg did a real quick quiz and then poured it through a sieve into my pie plate. I may add a teaspoon of orange zest to the milk mixture next time. I am now cooking as directed. Looking forward to a spectacular dessert. It was delicious. Served with Mexican coffee.

Amazing recipe. I was nervous cause I only had three eggs and all the other recipes I would’ve needed more. But this came out great! When I flipped it over I was almost sure I’d be cleaning up a mess, but it ended up being perfectly solid. This is the recipe I will stick with.

i put a little extra vanilla extract and before packing in oven i sprinkled white sugar across top. the finished flan was some of the best I've ever eaten !!
