In the oven right now tried a little non cooked off the S blade and it was so delicious. Next time I might make them half the size because only one didn't completely fall apart when flipping, and while it is easy to mold back together, I think smaller ones would be easier to flip. Not eating the mix left them quite large when split in 4. I used breadcrumbs as I had some whole foods whole wheat in the pantry. And 3 really large cloves of garlic as I love garlic.
After cooking it I have a few thoughts. I'll make it again, but might add rice, as I think it would even out the lentils and make them stick together better. I would also double or triple the spices, because now all I can taste are the lentils. Also, usually I have to cook things longer than the suggested time (old oven) but they seem over cooked.
