- 4 cups cabbage leaves (chopped, washed, about 1/4 of a head)
- 2 qt. low sodium beef stock (chicken or vegetable broth may be used)
- 2 tsp. beef bouillon powder (chicken or vegetable may be used)
- 1 tsp. cayenne pepper (if desired -- adjust to your heat preference)
- 1 tsp. salt (to season)
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 4 cups spinach leaves (loosely packed, washed)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley leaves (packed chopped)
- 2 tsp. lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
